Documents Required for Application

Applicants must ensure the submission of the following documents, formatted according to the guidelines:

1. Application Form: Filled out on the Chinese Government Scholarship portal (in Chinese or English).
2. Physical Examination Form for Foreigners: Completed as per the required standards, stamped and signed by a physician (valid for six months).
3. Degree Certificates: Notarized copies of undergraduate and higher degrees (with translations into Chinese or English, if applicable).
4. Academic Transcripts: Notarized copies, with translations if required.
5. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English).
6. Study or Research Plan: A detailed plan (minimum of 800 words, in Chinese or English).
7. Research Results: Copies of abstracts, published papers, or award certificates.
8. Language Proficiency Test Results:
   • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above (valid for two years).
   • For English-taught programs: IELTS (5.5+), TOEFL (80+), or equivalent proof of English proficiency.
9. Passport Copy: A valid passport, including visa or residence permit (if applicable for applicants residing in China).

All documents must be scanned, uploaded to the online system, and submitted as hard copies (two bound volumes) to the university. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions will not be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Hohai University CSC Scholarship:

• Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good health (physically and mentally).
• Age and degree requirements:
  • Master’s applicants: Hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • PhD applicants: Hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
• Must demonstrate excellent academic performance and research ability.
• Not receiving any other scholarships concurrently.
• For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above is mandatory.
