For Batata Vada (Coating)-

  • 1 cup Besan
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Baking soda
  • Salt as wanted
  • Water as wanted

For Batata Vada (Stuffing) –

  • 2 no. Potato (boiled and smashed)
  • 2-3 no. Inexperienced chili (crushed)
  • 5-6 no. Garlic clove (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp Peanut (fried)
  • ½ tsp Mustard seed
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 sprig Curry leaf
  • Salt as wanted
  • 1 tsp Oil

For Batata Vada (Frying) –

Others –

  • 6 no. Pav bun
  • Inexperienced chutney as wanted
  • Tamarind chutney as wanted
  • Peanut garlic chutney as wanted
  • Inexperienced chili (fried) few

For Batata Vada –

  • Warmth oil in a pan.

  • Add mustard seeds and permit to splutter.

  • Then add curry leaves, crushed garlic and inexperienced chilies. Fry for a minute.

  • Flip off the warmth and add the turmeric powder.

  • Give a combination after which add the fried peanuts, boiled and smashed potatoes, salt.

  • Combine all the things properly and permit to chill down fully.

  • In a mixing bowl, take besan, turmeric powder, salt and baking soda. Combine properly.

  • Add water little by little to get a clean batter. However, the batter shouldn’t be very thick or skinny.

  • Warmth oil in a deep pan for deep frying.

  • Now make balls with 2 tbsp of the stuffing at a time and maintain in a plate.

  • Dip one ball at a time into the batter to coat properly after which gently drop into the recent oil.

  • Drop few extra balls to the oil, however dont overcrowd the pan.

  • Deep fry until golden from all the perimeters, and drain onto a plate lined with paper towels.

  • Equally fry relaxation balls.

Assemble the Vada Pav –

  • Take one pav bun first and slit in half horizontally (leaving one edge joined).

  • Unfold one facet with tamarind Chutney, the opposite facet with inexperienced chutney.

  • Then put some peanut-garlic chutney on each facet and place one batata vada within the center together with 1-2 fried entire inexperienced chilies.
