Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Town’s Crime Department police arrested a person and recovered new cellphones value Rs 11 lakh from him, an official mentioned on Saturday. A gang had stolen the cellphones from a truck in Telangana and had given the telephones to the arrested accused to promote them at an affordable value.
In response to a Crime Department officer, appearing on a tip, a person named Faizan Qureshi was caught from close to Greenback Market on Jail Highway and about 100 cellphones had been recovered from him. Faizan couldn’t produce any payments for the cellphones. The police mentioned the cellphones had been stolen and the accused was making an attempt to promote them available in the market.
The accused allegedly admitted to the police that the cellphones had been stolen by his mates in Telangana. His mates—accomplices of a legal gang—had stolen the cellphones from a truck a number of days in the past.
The accused and the recovered cellphones had been handed over to the Mendora police station workers in Telangana for investigations. The accused is being questioned additional.
