Man shot by police in Prince George RCMP cells

The Unbiased Investigations Workplace of B.C. is investigating a police-involved taking pictures in Prince George that has left one man in hospital with severe accidents.

RCMP advised the civilian oversight company that that they had responded to a reported theft close to 15 Avenue and Victoria Avenue on July 11. One man was arrested and brought to the RCMP detachment.

“Police report that whereas getting ready to lodge the person in cells, there was an altercation throughout which an officer discharged their firearm,” stated the IIO in a information launch.
